Mom had a pancreatectomy and auto islet transplant on March 4th. I flew up to be her nurse for a couple of weeks. This included hooking up her IVs and checking blood sugars. Even though it was a trying time for her..and us, it was good to be able to spend some one on one time with her. I haven't done that in years! Mom is doing well and expected to go home this week... FOUR weeks after her surgery!!! YAY MOM!!!
