Linville Falls, NC

Yesterday, we drove two hours to hike Linville Falls in the Blue Ridge Mountains. My mom, dad and sister were in town visiting from Nashville. As a Texas born girl, I never experienced true autumn. Never saw the changing of the foliage, changing of the weather, none of it. Texas goes from blazing hot to sort of cool to maybe a bit cooler for Christmas...maybe, if you are lucky. :)

North Carolina has been a real eye opener for us as far as weather is concerned. Fall, RAIN, snow... it is all so beautiful to see. Not too much of any of it. We are in love and plan to stay as long as we can.
I digress... Our drive out to Linville was breathtaking and became even more so as we got closer to the mountains. Trees that looked like they were on fire, they were so colorful! I am now proud to be an October baby! :)

We took a hike up the mountain and were able to see beautiful views of the waterfalls and the glorious trees changing colors. Being with my sister and my parents is always fun! We enjoy their visits so much! Another plus for North Carolina!! :)
Here are a few pictures of our day. Enjoy!
Oh  and my budding photographer, Seth, took these pictures! I missed having the camera in my hands but he did a great job!!

Love,
K
