A Short Trip To Texas

I flew in on Sunday morning, back from NYC into Charlotte. I came home for a few hours and then back to the airport with my middle son for a quick trip to Texas. This is yearly for us (except for last year) to drive from San Antonio to Mexico with my mother in-law and my aunt(In-law). We stay two days and we go shopping and drinking :) in Mexico. We shop for vanilla, trinkets, and medicine. It is always a fun time. Ashton went this year and he stayed in San Antonio with his grandpa. Ashton needed this trip. He needed a break... a sort of change of scenery, if you will. We got to visit my friend and her family and spend the night at her house. We had a good visit with my husband's grandfather, Ashton's great grandfather too. All too quickly, we were on a plane back home. My kids have been traveling ever since they were tiny babies, so he was fun to travel with and always up for whatever came our way.

Back in San Antonio, Texas.

We woke up to bad storms and hail at my in-law's house in the hill county.

San Antonio airport on lockdown. Someone called in a bomb threat. It is not every day that you hear TSA yell "STOP! EVERYONE STOP! Everyone go to Terminal B for your safety." We headed to Terminal B and only had to wait about 30 minutes until we were given the "all clear".

Thankful for this guy. He is a wonderful travel partner. He is also a truly kind and giving person. I am proud to call him my son.

Fourth Annual Girlcation

Every spring break, my mom and my sister and I go on a mini vacation for a few days. I wish we had started this years ago, but I am so very thankful that we did and that we have the opportunity to do this. I cherish these moments. This year, we went back to NYC because it is one of our favorites. Who doesn't love NYC?? Since we had been there before, (This made trip number four for me) we decided to skip the touristy things and bargain hunt. We researched thrift stores before our trip and visited just about all of them. Such a fun time with my mom and my sister.
