On this day, we went to Montmartre, a hill that is widely know for the Basilica of the Sacré Cœur and beautiful views of the city. This hill is 130 meters high( 427 feet). We climbed all the stairs. Here is a tip: When visiting, there IS a tram that takes you up. We did not know this until about half way up. By then, we decided we had made it up that far, why not finish. Going down is always much easier. Oh and also, if you get there by subway and that subway happens to be line 12 Abbesses, use the elevator, otherwise you will be climbing about 5 stories just to get out of the subway. This place really was spectacular, once you get over all of the stairs...or the fact that no one told you there was a tram that takes you all the way up for a mere 1 euro, or a subway ticket. We took a different subway:) from there to visit Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris. Beautiful!!
Love,
K
