Transplantiversary!

Mark celebrated his one year anniversary of his double lung transplant on January 21st. I flew out to Little Rock, Arkansas to meet up with Mark and Andrea. We met Lindsay, who also has Cystic Fibrosis, in Arkansas. She has some mad skills in the cupcake decorating department. She created some wonderfully, amazingly, deliciously, creatively, fabulous cupcakes for Mark's celebration. She is a fabulous person and I am so glad that we got the chance to meet. From there, we drove to Hernando, Mississippi to go down Memory Lane for a bit. We drove past my grandma's old house and neighborhood. From there, we had some delicious pulled pork BBQ from Coleman's. Next, was the rest of our road trip to Nashville. On the way, we played many songs, reminisced of music and movies from way back when. Many laughs... Many laughs... 25-30 people showed up to help celebrate Mark on Saturday night. I am so thankful for that person who chose to be a donor and in fact donated a year ago in the early hours of January 21, 2012. I am mindful that as we celebrate Mark's prolonged life, that someone is mourning a year of missing a loved one. I pray for this family. So very thankful that we had a reason to celebrate this weekend. Love, K

How neat!!!! Favorite pic (hard to choose, but...) - Mark's silhouette at the lake! Oh what a dear spot where we bonded dearly with our Dendaddy throwing thousands of rocks in that lake!!!
